2006 WiffleRock Hopkinton Update
The 15th Annual WiffleRock tournament was played in Hopkinton on June 24th & 25th. Despite weather predictions, 160 teams braved the rain & mud and ended up enjoying the event immensely.
WBCN blasted music all day & gave away awesome prizes and Boston Events served up Fenway sausages, steak & cheese subs, burgers and dogs. It was our signature backyard barbeque experience with your closest 1000 friends.
30 WIFFLE ball fields played simultaneously - it was complete wiffle madness!
So Who Won?
Could a 1 Man team win the largest WIFFLE ball tournament in the country? Battling approximately 700 participants, many teams made up of 3,4,5 players and at the soggiest of tournaments? Not a chance in hell. Dallas Mall playing under the team name Devonshire All Star, did just that. It was just an incredible display of power hitting and a rubber arm that would not quit.
In the semi finals, Yo Ho Ho & a Bottle of Rum vs. Devonshire All Stars - Dallas was down 3-0 in the bottom of the 5th and hit two monster shots to tie it at 3-3. But Yo Ho Ho refused to go down easily. As they came back with 2 ding dongs in the 7th to go up to 5-3, they thought they had turned the tables. They were wrong. Down to his final out of the game, the Devonshire All Star, Dallas Mall, was able to load the bases. He promptly drilled a walk off Granny to win it!
The final pitted the 1 Man Wonder, Dallas Mall vs. Aggrocrag, a new team to WiffleRock this year. The young Aggrocrag gave the Devonshire All Star an epic battle. The pitchers dual ended in the 11th. Dallas brought home the bacon by himself 2-1.

2005 WiffleRock Update
Our 2005 WiffleRock Tournament was the single largest WIFFLE ball tournament ever played in the U.S. 186 Teams participated and it was absolute wiffle madness!
It came down to 2 teams, Brew Crew & Doom. Brew Crew a homerun hitting steamroller and Doom a immobile force of masterful pitching & clutch hitting. In previous games, Doom amassed 14 runs, they only earned 1 in the Final. It was Kevin Ostertog's homerun in the bottom of the 5th inning and it was all they would need. Doom 1 - Brew Crew 0.
